    Nigeria military launches fresh attack on niger delta militants

    In a bid to tackle the renewed militancy in Niger Delta which has disrupted oil production, the military may soon begin a special operation in the region. Already, the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen.     Nigerian army captured a boko haram member alive and killed others in gun battle!

    The troops of 231 and 331 Battalion together with some elements of Armed Forces Special Forces of 3 Division, based on received information, cleared remnants of Boko Haram terrorists hiding in Doksa general area located in Biu Local Government Area in Borno state. During the raid, the troops killed 2 Boko Haram terrorists wearing military Uniforms and recovered military uniforms, 1 General Purpose Machine Gun, 1 AK-47 rifle and 2 Dane Guns from them.     Two journalists, Chukwuma Muanya and Ajibola Amzat, of The Guardian were among the winners at the 2015 edition of the Nigeria Media Merit Award held in Lagos.
